Christianity...Exclusive or Inclusive

You will have heard it said that Christianity is an exclusive religion.  Nothing could be further from the truth than that statement.  All Scriptures, for the purpose of this article, are in the Amplified Version which defines the definitions of the Greek terms in brackets.  This will help you better understand what it is saying.  The lie of exclusivity is promoted by skeptics atheists, and fringe organizations who characterise themselves  as Christian but do not recognize nor see the need for "Jesus" or the Word of God and so they remain deceived.   Many of them will tell you the Jesus is not necessary and the Bible isn't either because they possess a  "special anointing" to "know" what God wants.  I doubt this anointing comes from the God of the Bible who warns that we are not to add or detract from His Word; a thing that many in the church have done over and over to our shame.    I wish to present here a  case that proves th...

What Am I Trusting In?

This is an excerpt from "Afterlife" that may be helpful to you during these trying times.  As Christians, we still suffer the trials of this world.  Some of these include being separated from loved ones by death or illness.  This conversation from "Afterlife", I hope, will help to renew your hope in the miracle that each of us possesses in Christ.  It may even answer some questions you may have about what it means to actually be "in Christ."  Amiee is the main character and she has just lost her Grandmother who was not only her mentor but her idol.  We need close relationships but they must not take the place of the one we have with God... "Excuse me, Miss." said a soft voice. "It is time to close the casket now."    Amiee stared blankly at the Funeral Director who had quietly come up behind her.   She had been completely lost in the past.   She shook herself. "Could I have just five more minutes?" she croaked through her te...

Always Trust God and Use Your Reason

I felt compelled to write this as I see our church struggling and bickering and succumbing to "relative truth" which, Satan used to tempt Eve in the garden.  It is cloaked as Post Modern thought.  You can be a "god" in your own right. Here is a quote from John Lennox who appeared with Ravi Zacharias at a Pastor's Conference.   He said:   "There is a fine line in one sense between Christianity and Idolatry. Paul (the apostle) was a genius, a brilliant man but the secret of the way he lived was that he used his reason and trusted God.   The danger for us is that we use God and trust in our reason ."   He also made the point that the general public had bought into the error that "faith is believing without evidence".   He states, however, that "faith" as defined in the Book of John is evidence-based.   John wrote down the miracles he says so that we may believe.   John 20:30-31 (AMP)  30 There are also many other signs and mir...

My Way or God's Way

I know this won't reach very many, but most of you are already my Christian Brothers and Sisters.   And as Christian Brothers and Sisters, we know about reparation, don't we?    We have all discovered that we owe.   We owe reparations to a Holy God for our sins.   The problem is that we can't pay it.   Yet in His Justice, God has provided a sacrifice, one He promised to Abraham and in His Mercy and Love forgave us everything.   He became human in the person of Jesus Christ and died for all men to satisfy His justice....all men, including the ones who reject Him.   Now that's love! If you don't accept His Grace, your sins (which are already condemning you) are still paid for but you can't take advantage of it.   John 3:16-18 (AMP) 16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (com...
