My Way or God's Way

I know this won't reach very many, but most of you are already my Christian Brothers and Sisters.  And as Christian Brothers and Sisters, we know about reparation, don't we?   We have all discovered that we owe.

We owe reparations to a Holy God for our sins.  The problem is that we can't pay it.  Yet in His Justice, God has provided a sacrifice, one He promised to Abraham and in His Mercy and Love forgave us everything.  He became human in the person of Jesus Christ and died for all men to satisfy His justice....all men, including the ones who reject Him.  Now that's love!

If you don't accept His Grace, your sins (which are already condemning you) are still paid for but you can't take advantage of it.

John 3:16-18 (AMP)
16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.
17 For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.
18 He who believes in Him [who clings to, trusts in, relies on Him] is not judged [he who trusts in Him never comes up for judgment; for him there is no rejection, no condemnation—he incurs no damnation]; but he who does not believe (cleave to, rely on, trust in Him) is judged already [he has already been convicted and has already received his sentence] because he has not believed in and trusted in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [He is condemned for refusing to let his trust rest in Christ's name.]

In order to accept this gift of Grace, one has to determine that there is a God of Mercy and that His Truth is Truth.

Here is a comical illustration that happened to me yesterday at the grocery store which will set the stage for what I want to tell you.

As I was driving down the street, a person pulled out of a driveway right in front of me.  I was able to stop, but then it occurred to me that his action was exactly what our Post-Modern Society is breeding by its erroneous ideas.  By the law, (which last time I looked, we were a country of laws) I had the right of way.  The other driver "feeling" that he also deserved his "right" to decide for himself what was right and wrong, decided that he would make his own rules and jump out in front of me.  Now, by law, I was required to stop...which I did, thank God, but what if I was just as adamant about my "right" to drive straight on that road?   Yep...an accident.  So what would it be on the police report? Would there have been police?  That aside, because of our laws, the other driver would have been cited for breaking the law.

In a  society where everyone determines their own truth, however...well...bad luck for me.  Then I would have formed a group to get "reparation" from the guy who hit me.  I would protest outside of his house...break his windows and burn it down.  Get the picture?  To that very point...here is the definition of the word "reparation" according to the Dictionary.

rep·a·ra·tion

/ˌrepəˈrāSH(ə)n/

the making of amends for a wrong one has done, by paying money to or otherwise helping those who have been wronged.

In a society where everyone determines his own "right" or "wrong...the meaning is irrelevant.

However, if you return to a society where there is absolute truth, then the entire definition changes.

In a society like that  anyone and everyone owes everybody else.

We all owe reparations to those whom we have hurt by our language and treatment of them. Not what someone did to someone else a hundred years ago.  You owe your kids, your mother, your father etc.  The list is endless.  If you have ever hurt a fly, then you owe and have no right to argue the point in a society of absolute truth, but  in this post-modern world, most believe that there is no "right" and "wrong".  You cannot have it both ways, you can't claim to be the source of your own truth and morality unless you give that exact same "right" to others.  And that means violence and a fight.  Here is another illustration...

Using WWII as a backdrop, most would say that Hitler and those who followed him owe reparations because they tried to "take over" the world, creating a government that Hitler said would last a thousand years.   They exterminated six million Jews, thousands of handicapped, homosexuals and they certainly weren't admitting blacks to their Arian Race either.  They burned books and Bibles alike.  No, Nazi's were the opposite of Christian and extremely occultic.

Oddly the Nazis had Allies who were not of this supposedly pure  race but as long as they could serve their purposes, the Nazi's were delighted to exploit them. Was this a good goal or a bad one?  Did Hitler have the "right" to do this?   Without an absolute morality...yes...he did.

The materialistic/relativistic university professor will tell you that there is no God.  Evil in the world is proof of this.  However, his statement does assume that there is "good" whereby he can discern what is evil. But you can't know good and evil without absolute truth to measure it by and you can't have morality or law without a lawgiver, so if God does not exist, the statement that "God doesn't exist because there is evil in the world" is totally meaningless.  This is the atheist's dilemma and it is ours as well in a post modern world.

When I was a little girl, in post WWII America, I loved to watch television with my father. We would often watch movies and documentaries about the war and what happened afterward.  I asked him, how these horrible wars got started, because to me it was the most nonsensical thing to watch people try to kill one another with such passion.  His answer was simple.  He told me that when people perceived that those around them had something they wanted,  the only way to get it was to take it.  I suppose I have thought about that more often over my sixty-nine years of life than most people because I could see that my world was overhauling its view about what was "right" and what was "wrong".

Hear this...America was built on a  the Principle of Law...the Ten Commandments are etched in the Supreme Court Building and they are not going away anytime soon.  People, within the framework of the law, have the freedom to pursue one's life by hard work, faithfulness to God and love to others.  If they broke the law, they went to jail.

In the last hundred years communism and socialism have been trying to dismantle this ideal.  The result is the violence that you see every day in the news.  Why are we not content to work hard and make our own life by trusting God.  Why are we murderously jealous over those who have achieved the things we want without ever considering that they earned it by hard work and that it is also possible for us to earn it if we apply ourselves.  The answer is that we have no intrinsic value and so, we perceive others as having no value.  So the answer is to assert our strength against others and take what we want.

An example of this is our welfare system which is good when used by those who cannot work as opposed to those who will not work.  When you get a hand out it comes from another citizen's pocket.

We will face obstacles and failures in life ...everyone does!  Race is only one of them but we all have some discrimination or obstacles that we must overcome.  If you don't believe me look up the term "Gentiles Only".  Yet, immigrants from all over the world are desperate for a chance at such a life here but our lazy entitled youth want everything handed to them.   This confused me for a long time until I realized that all through the "Hippy" era and way beyond there were voices that insisted that if you were a failure, it was not because you didn't work hard and try but because you were a victim of something.

Now, I have news for you...white people are often poor and they are abused by parents and passed over because someone else looks better than they do or some other such reason.    Today, Christians who were "enslaved" by the Romans are now disrespected in a country they started...investigated by the IRS (the IRS apologized for that one) and fired from jobs because of their faith which by the way is against the Constitution,  yet with perseverance, they still find success in life just as many blacks did whose ancestors were slaves.

If no one outside the white race ever succeeded, then reparation would be due, but some of the most successful entertainers, doctors, sports figures, and the like are not "white" and most of them including Ben Carson came from the ghetto.

So...what's the explanation for all this lunatic way of thinking?  If you want to blame someone...blame the Universities who have been poisoning our children's minds for decades. They blame and create a crisis.  They promote an answer they never have or will fulfill.

A wonderful speaker and apologist, Dr. Ravi Zacharias recently taught me the answer  to all of this and showed me why some succeed and others don't and I want to share this in love with whoever will listen. Our lives are shaped for good or bad by Origin (where we came from) Meaning (intrinsic value) Morality (good/bad...right wrong) and Destiny. ( culmination of purpose / what's after death)

Today, the atheist or postmodernist would have you believe there is no God because evil exists in the world.  The question self-implodes because an atheist/professor believes that his origin was the result of an accident (evolution)  of nature. This is what our children have been taught and the result is suicide, violence, and evil increasing among the young.  If the atheist is right then both he and they are valueless in their existence.  Without value, life has no meaning and it doesn't matter who one hurts in our quest to get ahead.  The only option then is to create value for oneself.  We either have to pump ourselves up or be degraded by what others think of us.  We see this rampant in our culture especially the youth culture.

Here is the soil in which Hitler is grown.. He must say that his origin is an accident so the only meaning he will have is one he creates and that he is the one who determines truth for himself.  Sounds good...doesn't it.  But, in order to create value, he must say that "his" kind evolved more successfully than another kind. This is basis for Arian Race and racism This is the height of racism. If you don't believe this here for your consideration is the title of Darwyn's book which is the atheist's bible. On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life.

There is nothing which is more racist or leads more to enslavement or elimination of a race than that one word "favored".   In fact in the Scopes Trial, it was the Christians who tried to stop this doctrine from spreading. And it is only a doctrine, not a proven fact.  A theory that has lost momentum with each new discovery of our DNA.  DNA says we are all of one blood...just like the Bible does, and just as our Constitution says that "all men are created equal"...and you want to throw that out?

In relativistic thinking, the evolved human decides what is "right" and wrong", but he has no reference point for deciding between good and evil so that very fact creates a dilemma. Because there is no standard, his "feelings" become the reference point.  So getting back to Hitler.  He "felt" that he was superior to all others and spent much of his time trying to substantiate his Arian race.  He felt victimized by Jewish Professors who had critiqued his artwork years earlier (look it up), so he hated them and subsequently got back at them by killing six million.    And because he led Germany, he was the power in the land. In a society where everyone makes his own truth, who is anyone to tell him he can't do whatever he wanted?  In this philosophy, the strong impose their "truth" on others. Think about this... if you are "free" to determine your own morality, you are only free to do so until it clashes with the convictions of someone else.  The only thing the two of you can then do is to fight it out to see who is right.  Just like the car illustration earlier.  And by the way, both rich and poor...black and white are infected with this, but the Rule of Law keeps violence in check

They showed the film Schindlers list to a bunch of high school kids in San Diego and then asked who was "right" in WWII...Germany or the United States  The students said that the United States was "right" because we won the war.  Really?     The students believed that we were right because we won the war?   That means that if Hitler had won, it would have made him right?.  Does this sound nuts to anyone else out there?

If you choose to believe that God does not exist and that you create your own laws and reality, then no one owes you anything.   You can raise a relativistic argument for it, but unless everyone agrees with you, your opinion has no value...so you must fight to prove your worth.  The reason? There is no morality to defend you because life has no meaning, having its origin in a primordial soup that no one designed or cared about.

God, on the other hand, who does exist, loves you and me so much that He first created us in His image (origin). His Gospel represents a moment in history where four absolutes Evil, Justice, Forgiveness, and Love, which on the surface appear irreconcilable, came together in perfect harmony in the cross of Christ.

God made us in His image which gives us intrinsic value.  When we chose to distort that image (evil in the world) and live by our own will, He didn't discard us, but instead, identified with us by becoming human (incarnation of Jesus).  He, as both God and human, became a sacrifice to settle his own perfect justice, and then forgave us which shows the supremacy of His love.  With this love behind you, you can conquer anything.    Here is the hope that we Christians cling to

Christ died for all men's sins because we were all already judged and sentenced.  Those who have freed from prison are freed because they accepted His sacrifice on their behalf.  This isn't a religion...it's a love relationship that is not exclusive.  All other religions are exclusionary but we as Christians are not.  You have been lied to.  Ask Him in...be truly free.
